SLADE, Frances M. - Passed away in the presence of her loving family at the Carbonear General Hospital on Friday, August 17, 2012, Frances M. Slade of Salmon Cove, age 74 years. Predeceased by husband: Lester; parents: Stanley and Harriett Cobb; sisters: Susie Gorman and Mabel Gendreau; brothers: George, Samuel, Stanley and Edward. Leaving to mourn, three daughters: Deborah (Gord) Ash, Victoria, Pearl (Terry) Coish, Bay de Verde and Shirley (Blair) Delaney, Mount Pearl; three sons: Wayne (Sophie), Boyd (Paula) and Ken (Tracey) all of Salmon Cove; eleven grandchildren: Sheryl, Jennifer, Leslie, Trevor, Cody, Michael, Justin, Gillian, Mark, Andrew and Jessica; three great-grandchildren: Noah, Liam and Brandi; one brother: Fred (Eva) Cobb, Ontario; one sister: Doris (Gerald) Dobbin, Ontario; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Saturday, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Sunday, August 19 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Carbonear. Cremation to follow. A private family inurnment to be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to Riverside United Cemetery, Salmon Cove.
