Sylvia, Barry and family, so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. She was doing so well. Mom said to make sure I passed on her condolences and that it came as a shock to her as she just found out today. Several times mom and I visited your dad and mom at Luxury Estates and had a lovely time chatting with them. Your mom always offered us goodies during our visits. Many years of memories living nearby over the years both in Freshwater and Carbonear. Deepest sympathy to you all. Marilyn and Sophie Butt

Sylvia, Barry, and family; Sending our condolences to you and your family. When Bart and I visited a few years ago we spent many hours with Mildred and Clayton. Were glad to have spent the time talking about old memories. She always had a meal ready for us and Clayton always had more stories to tell. Take care and God bless.

Barry, Please accept and convey, to the Family, our Condolences on the passing of your Mother. Only a few weeks ago,at Strat's funeral we inquired for your mom.You indicated that she was reasonably well. At 94 changes occur more readily. There are too many memories of my nan to narrow down as my favourite. But one that stands out is the smell of lilacs throughout her house in the summer time. I remember as a child, who spent countless hours at her house, sitting next to the bouquets in the living room and enjoying the scent. My nan's garden had the most beautiful lilac trees and I loved to go out there in the summer and sit under them enjoying the smell of the flowers. Lilacs will always remind me of my amazing Nan.

It is a friendship that has lasted a lifetime. Clayt and Mildred-Harvey and Naida. We were neighbours and we were friends. Across the street was a short trip to pop in for a visit. No need to call-just come on in and call out "anybody home?" We raised our families and watched as our children had families of their own. The children came and went and we shared their lives and remembered our own. We all settled in to growing old. Harvey passed first and we shared his loss together. Then, we parted as neighbours but not as friends. Mildred and I remained in touch across the miles. Clayt passed next and once again Mildred and I had to share another deep loss. We remained in touch. Barry called. I have now lost a special friend of countless years- but I will continue to keep in touch through my memories. With love and deepest sympathy we share in your loss. Naida and family

To The Peach Family, It is with much sadness that I send my condolences on the loss of your loved one.It was just a short time ago while visiting the Luxery Estates, that I stopped and chatted with her .It had been a long time since I seen her last but as I remembered, she was cheerful, and still had her pleasant smile. Before I left she waved for me to come say good- bye,we hugged and exchanged a kiss. I'll always remember Mildred's kindness to me when I started my very first job at McMurdoe's Pharmacy in 1973.She certainly "took me under her wing'as the saying goes. Her kindness extened to taking me home with her for lunch or supper,I especially enjoyed her fish and brewis! Your parents and mine (Edward and Florence Wareham) were good friends, but I valued the friendship that she and I had developed of our own,and I have thought of it often. Your Mom will be fondly remembered,a quiet lady but certainly one with a gentle and kind heart. May God bless you all and may your many memories turn your tears to smiles Shirley (Wareham) Flight

My thoughts and prayers are being sent your way today and in the days to follow. Mrs. Peach was a wonderful and caring woman who will indeed be missed! My experience in knowing both her and Mr. Peach was certainly a delightful one. They certainly loved making the staff at Luxury smile and sharing a little chuckle here and there. Hold on to the wonderful memories you all shared, and take comfort in eachother!
