Obituary of Betty Turner

TURNER, Betty - Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Wednesday, August 29, 2012, Betty Turner of Lower Island Cove, age 68 years. Predeceased by parents: Morgan and Hannah Hollet. Leaving to mourn, husband: Edwin 'Eddie'; two daughters: Pauline (Darryl) Froude, Conception Bay South and Susanne (Greg) Power, Topsail; two grandchildren: Shane and Ryan; sister-in-law: Doris Snelgrove, Caplin Cove; also a large number of other relatives and friends. A special thank you to Dr. Jacqueline Verge and Dr. Stewart Rorke and his team of oncologists at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's. Resting at the Salvation Army Citadel, Lower Island Cove on Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, September 1 at 2:00 p.m. from the Salvation Army Citadel, Lower Island Cove. Interment in the Salvation Army Cemetery, Lower Island Cove. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the Salvation Army Citadel, Lower Island Cove or Canadian Cancer Society.
