With Deepest Sympathy, Dorothy, Greta, Betty, Boyd and families. Your dad was such a wonderful person. Before he moved into the seniors complex in Carbonear, if I was walking by or just met him at the post office he would always speak to me. He was always so happy. The last time my sister and I visited the home he was so glad to see us. He showed us around and introduced us to a crowd. He said there from Western Bay where I came from. He was very content and had many friends . He will be surely missed by all . Wishing you the peace that comes from knowing God is there, And praying that He'll keep you in His promised, gentle care.

To Earl's Family. Deepest sympathy to you all. I have known your Dad all my life, he always had a smile, loved to stop for a chat when he saw you. I can remember going to your house many years ago with Mom and Dad. I was very fortunate the pass few weeks to have cared for your Dad, he would alawys tell other staff members Dad and him were great buddies, and they had a few refreshments together. Know matter how old your Dad was, yes he lived a good life, it is hard to let them go. I am sure you have lots of good memories . We have to believe he is at peace, free from all pain and suffering, maybe him and Dad are having a chat now. God Bess Patricia

To the Whalen Family - My deepest sympathy on the death of Mr. Earl. He was a great friend of my Dad (Patrick Shea) when they worked in Buchans. When Dad & Mom moved to Witless Bay he and his friends would visit every summer and spend most of the afternoon yarnin' about their days in Buchans. My Dad passed away in 2002 and he did visit a few times after that but I missed his visits the past few years and often wondered what had happened to him. He was a very cheerful and funny man who made everyone smile. God Love Him - I'm sure that he and all his friends are now having a great chat about their days they spent in Buchans. Keep his happy memories and stories alive as these will help you in the rough days ahead. God Bless you all, Alice Shea

Sorry to hear of your loss. Your Dad was quite a man. As a child I remember him dropping in to see Mom and Dad, (Parmenas & Annie). Boy, could he tell a story. I always enjoyed the visits. I am in Halifax this past 30 years but still thought of him from time to time. My thoughts are with you. God bless.
