DAVIS, Reuben Melvin " Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Thursday, July 12, 2007 after a short illness, Reuben Melvin Davis of Carbonear in his 90th year. Leaving to mourn the sad loss is his loving wife May, who was his companion and soul mate of 62 years. Also, Bessie and Ed Snow, Barry and Dianne, Jeffrey and Cynthia, Rod and Beth, and their families; one sister, Ella, St. John's; as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. Also, mourning the loss are many camping buddies they met over the last 25 to 30 years and whose company and friendship he enjoyed and cherished. Special thanks to the nurses and staff of 5 North A and the Emergency Dept. of the Health Sciences Centre for their excellent care during a very difficult period. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear with visitation hours by request of the family on Friday, July 13 from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m., Saturday, July 14 from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Sunday, July 15 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. from the Salvation Army Citadel, Carbonear. Interment at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Carbonear. As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted.
