LOVEYS, Verna R. - Passed peacefully away at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Wednesday, August 10, 2011, Verna R. Loveys of Ochre Pit Cove, age 86 years. Predeceased by husband: Albert G. 'Bert'; parents: Solomon Croucher and Priscilla Billings; step-father: George Billings; sister: Avis Croucher; step-brother: John Billings. Leaving to mourn, two sons: George (Tammy) and David (Alice), both of Ochre Pit Cove; three grandchildren: Anthony (Michelle), April (Garfield) and Lyndon (Leslie); precious great-grandson: Cameron; two sisters: Dorothy Gillingham, Carbonear and Vera Keane, Ontario; step-brothers: Truman (Florence) Billings, Grand Falls-Windsor, Ben (Jessie) Billings, Cottrell's Cove, Vic (Ivy) Billings, Comfort Cove and Ford (Patsy) Billings, Cottrell's Cove; two step-sisters: Chloe (Don) Warren, Ontario and Ethel (Alonzo) Hynes, Grand Falls-Windsor; special nieces: Linda Carey, Fortune Harbour, Beverley Butt, Spaniard's Bay and Tina Billings, Botwood; also a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and special friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay. Funeral service to take place on Friday, August 12 at 2:00 p.m. from McDowell United Church, Western Bay. Interment in the United Cemetery, Ochre Pit Cove. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the United Church Cemetery Fund, Ochre Pit Cove.
