ADAMS, John Nettleton - Passed peacefully away at the Caribou Memorial Veteran's Pavilion of the Dr. L.A. Miller Center, St. John's on Thursday, August 18, 2011, John Nettleton Adams, aged 90 years. (WWII Veteran, RCAF) Predeceased by his wife: Effie (nee Moores) and brother: Keith Adams. Leaving to mourn his special nephew: Ken Moores (Louise) and their family: grand niece Linette (Neal); grand nephew: Andrew (Joanne); great grand nephew: Riley. Also leaving to mourn nephews: Ted Adams (Mirna), Prescott, ON, Ed (Sharon), Bill (June), Wayne (Sharon) and David (Suzanne); niece: Sharon Adams, Prescott, ON; niece-in-law: Rev. Lorraine Moores and family; also other relatives and friends. Special thank you to the staff at the Caribou Memorial Veteran's Pavilion for their wonderful care over the past eight years, especially Nathan McLachlan. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Friday, August 19 from 2:00 -4:00 p.m. and 7:00 -9:00 p.m. Then visitation will continue at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay on Saturday, August 20 from 1:30 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral service to be held on Sunday, August 21 at 2:00 p.m. from McDowell United Church, Western Bay. Interment at the United Cemetery, Blackhead. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to McDowell United Church, Western Bay.
