(May 9, 1922 – May 24, 2015) Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Carbonear General Hospital on Sunday, May 24, 2015, George German of Harbour Grace, age 93 years. George was a proud veteran of WW11, serving in the US Marine Corps as United States Marine Corps. Predeceased by wife, Hazel (Sheppard), son: George K., three brothers: Steve, John and Andrew. Leaving to mourn, two grandchildren, Vanessa German and Andrew German, both of New Jersey; also a large number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Harbour Grace on Tuesday, 2:30 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, May 27 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Funeral Home, Harbour Grace. Interment in St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery, Harbour Grace. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to St. Paul’s Anglican Church Restoration Fund, Harbour Grace, c/o P.O. Box 28, Harbour Grace, NL, A0A 2M0.
