To my dear friends Debbie and Allan, my heartfelt condolences to you both and all the family on the loss of your loved one. Debbie, we have been friends now for over 50 years and I've always felt part of your family. We sure have fond memories of your father that we will cherish. During our teenage years, we have often been stuck in a blizzard from Kingston to Red Head Cove. The next day when the plough came out and the roads were cleared, it was your father who came to get us. I can hear him now while ringing his fist at us, "you 2 sleeveens, now let this be your last! Of course it wasn't our last, he came again. Debbie, you and Allan made a decision that you would care for your dad during his illness and you brought him in to your own home. I had the privilege many times of watching Allan and you give compassionate, dignified and loving care. Many sacrifices were made and I know the rest of your family are so grateful. May the love and care you gave your father bring you peace and comfort in the days ahead.

To the Morris Family...I was very saddened to hear of Mr.Don's passing. He definitely has made a huge impact on all the lives he touched, as a teacher, as a neighbor, as a community figure, as a father and as a husband. He has touched so many lives, leaving so many great memories, most especially, with a smile. Mr.Don is now resting in the arms of God, and as I know it is hard, I hope all his extended family find peace and guidance from God, during this difficult time. Deepest sympathies and many prayers. Rest peacefully Mr.Don.

Ms.Nellie and family
Would like to extend my sympathies on the passing of Don. He was a great teacher and his classes were never boring. He was kind enough to pick me up, out around the cove, and bring me to school when my leg was in cast, until I was able manage the bus. It was evident that he was very proud of his family, and as children ,you very caring of him. I hope your wonderful memories and his sense of humor, instilled in your own lives, will make the journey ahead easier to bear.

To The Morris Family: So very sorry to hear of Mr. Morris' passing. He was a very nice man, who would make us laugh. I don't think he could ever tell the difference in us because he would say, "Hello Tony, Terry, Terry, Tony". I guess by saying our names like that, he couldn't be wrong. Please know that you're in our thoughts and prayers and take comfort in the fact that your loved one is now at rest.

I can't think of another man who was loved as much as Don Morris. I can't remember a time when he didn't have the arms of his family around him.
Donette, you will always be "daddy's little girl," now and forever!

Time and the foibles of nature have once again exacted a price. The surviving long time staff of Jackson-Walsh High is again bearing emotional stress from the passing of a colleague- Don Morris. Don’s presence always managed to fill any room and especially our staff room. He was a vocal part of and a humorous contributor to most conversations. Although at times he seemed like a bit of a worrier, the duration of such was brief and he was reaching for cloud nine. Don could be, and often was, very entertaining. One of his favourite pastimes was to recall some community event or incident from earlier times that had a humorous outcome then add some select dialogue of his own making before passing it on. He was an in-house entertainer and we got great enjoyment and real belly laughs from his dramatizations. No doubt, Don was outstanding in his group camaraderie. His knowledge and experience gave him opportunity in his teaching to make remarkable contributions to the learning experiences of the students of J-W-High.
We all regret the discomfort he suffered through in his last days and our thoughts are with his family at this time.
