Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, July 8, 2015, George Cole of Carbonear, age 78 years. Predeceased by daughter: Jackie; infant son: John; parents: Eva and Harry; brother-in-law: Jim Kestner. Leaving to mourn, wife: Bessie; one son: Jeffrey (Sonya) Cole, Labrador City; one granddaughter: Taylor; one brother: Albert (Frances), Salmon Cove; two sisters: Viola (Phillip) Clarke, Carbonear and Lillian Keztner, Virginia, USA; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear, Thursday, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Saturday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, July 11 at 2:00 p.m. from St. James Anglican Church, Carbonear. Interment in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation, 31 Peet Street, St. John’s, NL, A1B 3P8 or visit www.childrenswish.ca.
