Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, November 11, 2015, Janie Bishop of Blackhead, age 95 years. Predeceased by husband: Ernest; daughter-in-law: Judy; parents: John and Eliza Reid; step-mother: Hannah; sisters: Nellie, Ella and Gertie; brothers: Eric, Harvey and George. Leaving to mourn, one daughter: Marie Oakley; three sons: John, Guy (Peg Hoskins) and Emrys (Edith); ten grandchildren: Jason (Meghan), Chad (Elaine), Gary, Karen (Wayne), Kellie (Steve), Danielle (Chad), Tara (Jeff), Scott (Judy), Reid (Renee) and Mark; thirteen great-grandchildren; sisters: Olive Mallan, Beryl Clarke, Phyllis Mizner and Joyce Miller; very special caregiver: Paul Butt; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay on Friday, Nov. 13 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 14 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 15 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Sunday, November 15 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Western Bay. Interment in the United Church Cemetery, Blackhead. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the North Shore Central Ambulance Fund, P.O.
