Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, December 12, 2015, Lloyd J. Burgess of Victoria, age 65 years. Predeceased by parents: Cecil and Clara Burgess; brother: Wallace; parents-in-law: Gordon and Mabel Butt; brothers-in-law: Jim Harding, Garfield Butt, Ellison Butt and Ray Evely; sister-in-law: Phyllis Evely. Leaving to mourn, wife: Dorothy; one son: Robert (Allison Spurrell), Victoria; one brother: Clarence (Cheryl), Carbonear; three sisters: Helen Harding, St. John’s, Pauline (Ian) Taggart, Burlington, ON and Donna (Phil) Pynn, Harbour Grace; three brothers-in-law: Eben (Mildred) Butt, Calvin (Olive) Butt and Gordon Butt, all of Victoria; five sisters-in-law: Cynthia (James) Clarke, Donna (Gary) Penney, Louise Butt and Olive Butt, all of Victoria and Diane Burgess, Hamilton, ON; a large number nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Sunday, 7:30 to 9:00 p.m.; Monday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, December 15 at 2:00 p.m. from Bethel Pentecostal Church and Cemetery, Victoria. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of NL, 107-835 Topsail Road, Mount Pearl, NL, A1N 3J6 or online at Alzheimer.ca
