Passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family at his residence on Wednesday, April 6, 2016, Alexander F. ‘Sandy’ Parsons of Harbour Grace, age 82 years. Predeceased by parents: Fred and Helina; sisters: Sidney (Moss) and Mary (Bill). Leaving to mourn, wife: Alice; three daughters: Diane (Darrell) Parsons, Bay Roberts; Alexandra (Carl), Mississauga, ON and Kim (Gene), Harbour Grace; three sons: Kenneth (Yvonne) and John (Michelle), both of Harbour Grace and Wayne (Wanda), Brigus; ten grandchildren: Christopher, Cassandra, Andrew, Natasha, Danielle, Sarah, Brandon, Alicia, Kersten and Alex; two great-grandchildren: MacKenzie and Bentley; one sister: Florence Oake, Florida; very special family friend: Denise Parsons, Carbonear; sisters-in-law: Shirley Evely (George), Carbonear and Betty Forward, Topsail; brother-in-law: James (Lil) Forward, Mount Pearl; special homecare workers: Elsie Paynter, Lorna Carpenter and Sue Harvey, all of Carbonear, Bev Pike, Bryant’s Cove and Marcella Pike, Harbour Grace; also a large number of other relatives and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace on Sunday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Monday, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Monday, April 11 at 2:00 p.m. from Coughlan United Church, Harbour Grace. Inurnment in the United Cemetery, Harbour Grace.
