GRIFFIN, Karen Howell- Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Friday, November 2, 2007, Karen Howell Griffin of Carbonear, age 53 years. Predeceased by parents: Fredrick and Rosalie Howell; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Leo and Mary Griffin; grandparents: Cecil and Winnifred King; Brettle Howell and Violet Powell. Leaving to mourn, husband: Donald; daughter: Michelle, Carbonear; son: Sheldon (Kendell), Carbonear; granddaughter: Emma; grandson: Landon; two sisters: Peggy (Wayne) Rose, Harbour Grace and Shirley (Paul) Butt, Carbonear; four brothers: Fred (Sharon) Howell, Victoria, Ronald (Pauline) Howell, Shearstown, Don Howell, BC and Terry (Bobbie) Howell, Carbonear; three sisters-in-law: Margaret (Art) Penney, Salmon Cove, Marie (Wayne) Sutton and Debbie (Clyde) Sutton, both of Victoria; four brothers-in-law: Leo (Brenda) Griffin, Labrador City, Loyola (Shirley) Griffin, Halifax, NS, Paul (Muriel) Griffin, Tilton and Ken (Karen) Griffin, Carbonear; also a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear until 12:00 noon Tuesday, November 6. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. from Bethany United Church, Carbonear. Interment in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the Karen Howell Griffin Memorial Fund.
