Passed peacefully away at the Lion's Manor, Placentia on Monday, October 31, 2016, David Reid of Lower Island Cove, age 88 years. Predeceased by wife: Rosemary; parents: William and Susie; brothers: Gilbert (Amelia) and Robert. Leaving to mourn, one daughter: Nancy (Darrell) Smith, Ajax, ON; one son: Garry (Christine), Lower Island Cove; four special grandchildren: Kayla, Matthew, Jimmy, and Andrew; one sister: Florence (Clarence) Buckler, Northern Bay; sister-in-law: Naomi Reid, Paradise; also a large number of other relatives and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Salvation Army Citadel, Lower Island Cove on Wednesday, 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.; Thursday, 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Friday, November 4 at 11:00 a.m. from the Salvation Army Citadel and Cemetery, Lower Island Cove. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Salvation Army Citadel, P.O. Box 55, Lower Island Cove, NL, A0A 2W0.
