Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Friday, November 4, 2016, Sonja A. Hosel of Carbonear, age 70 years. Predeceased by parents: Iver and Gertrude Iversen; brother-in-law: Franz Reiss. Leaving to mourn, husband: Siegfried; one son: Jens (Elva), St. John’s; two grandchildren: Katarina and Jared; two sisters: Gertrude 'Petra' Reiss and Lorraine (Roy) Janes, both of Carbonear; also a number of other relatives and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Sunday, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Monday, 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Monday, November 7 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Carbonear. As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
