We are gathered here today to reminisce and appreciate the wonderful woman whom we've lost, Nanny Byrne- Phyllis Irene Byrne.
As we remember her, we'll remember the woman with the gorgeous laugh who wouldn't hurt a fly, the woman whom when I used to visit when I was younger would have a house as hot as a sauna because she wouldn't let anyone go cold- even if it meant that they were too warm, the woman who would pat our cheeks as a symbol of love and who loved her flowerpots and her goldfish with all her heart.
Nanny, you have touched all of our hearts, all in different ways and we will love and cherish you for the rest of our lives- I'm not only your flowerpot, but you are mine, rest easy, my precious flower.

My deepest sympathy to all of Phyllis's family. We were cousins but more like sisters, we stayed best friends and loved each other all of our lives. I was her maid of honor and was with her when both Dennis and Kevin were born. I regret not seeing her when I was home last.
Rest in peace my Tibby..I'll meet you in heaven one day soon.
Love Mary

Our sincere sympathy to all the family members of Mrs. Byrne. She was a beautiful woman who I could readily see, loved her children and grandchildren very much. Her soft spoken way and gentle smile made her the ultimate grandmother. May your memories of her make you smile and keep your Mom/Nan close to your heart.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Lynn and John Langer

Beverley and Family,
Please accept my sincere condolences of the death of your Mom.
I still think how fortunate my Mom was to have been your Mom's "roommate" for the 9 months Mom was at Glenbrook Lodge. Their friendship was real and they were able to form a special bond with each other. Phyllis became a very important part of the time I spent with Mom. When my Mom was upset Phyllis seemed to be able to comfort her and when Phyllis was feeling sad Mom was sad too knowing that her friend wasn't herself on that day. She was a sweet lady who I was glad to have met.
I hope it brings you some comfort to know I am thinking of you at this sad time. Surely the very best of your Mom lives on in you and your children.
May she rest in peace.

The Byrne Family,
I was saddened to learn of Phyllis's recent death. When my late wife Frances was a resident of Glenbrook Lodge she and Phyllis formed a special friendship that was a comfort to me and my family. They somehow seemed to take care of each other in a very unique way. I have thought of Phyllis many times over the past several months since my wife's passing.
I hope you and your family are comforted in this sad time in the knowledge that your Mom is finally at peace. I will say a special prayer for her.
