Passed peacefully away at Pleasant View Towers, St. John's, on Tuesday, February 28, 2017, Violet M. Crowley of Western Bay, age 82 years. Predeceased by husband: Clarence; parents: William and Leah Johnson. Leaving to mourn, one daughter: Sharon (Leon Oliver), Manuels; one son: Glen (Joan), Mount Pearl; three grandchildren: Melissa Oliver (Wayne Bruce), Christopher Oliver (Nicole Smith) and Ryan Crowley; brothers: Raymond (Louise) Johnson, Clayton Johnson and Rick (Karen) Johnson; sister: Elizabeth Calloway; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay on Thursday, 7:30 to 9:00 p.m.; Friday, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Saturday, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, March 4 at 2:00 p.m. from McDowell United Church, Western Bay. Interment in the United Church Cemetery, Western Bay South. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to United Cemetery, Western Bay South, c/o Berkley Sellars, P.O. Box 75, Western Bay, NL, A0A 4J0 or to the North Shore Central Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 159, Broad Cove, NL, A0A 4J0.
