I was very saddened to hear of Fred's passing and regretted not being able to visit with the family.
I would meet him many times over the years at events in and around Carbonear and Freshwater. Last year I was able to speak to him at Tiffany after a music entertainment event. He was always smiling and a delight to talk to . I always enjoyed meeting him. My sincere condolences to the family.

The Davis Family,
Thinking of you today. Mr. Davis lived to be a ripe ole age for sure. The last couple of years had been tough for him, family & friends. Whenever I visited him, he maintained that twinkle in his eye & was always interested in our conversations. Rest assured he is at peace now. We know you will fondly miss him. RIP Mr. Davis.

Davis Family - So sorry to hear of Freddy's passing. I met him skating at the Glacier where he was proud to say he exercised well into his eighties. He later met my father and consoled me at Dad's passing. Everyone of the skaters who met him loved him as did I. What a wonderful man.Rest in peace, Freddy.

Jeff, Donna, Bryan and Sarah - our hearts are with you. Mr. Davis was so joyful, with such an infectious smile and always a sparkle in his eye. We feel blessed to have gotten to know him and to have spent a bit of time with him when he came out to BC.
He had a great sense of humour and his pleasure in watching both of you, Bryan and Sarah, as you played hockey over the years was so apparent. He will be remembered fondly.

Uncle Fred stayed in my life consistently despite the miles that were between us (Newfoundland to Philadelphia) . He sent a Christmas card to me and my family every year of my adult life and I was always so touched by the fact that he stayed in contact with us. He is loved by his extended family and will be missed. The world was and is a better place because he was in it.

Very sorry to hear of the passing of Uncle Fred. Last saw him ten years ago, when he seemed to be like a man in his late fifties, but must have been already in his eighties. I remember he always had a smile on his face.

Jeff and family,
So sorry to hear about the passing of your Dad. He was a great man who lived his life to the fullest...skating in his 80's, writing his memoirs and always so engaging in conversation. The past few years for your Dad had been a struggle both for him and you guys, so take comfort in knowing that he is in his element now, up there having a grand chat with Mom and Dad. Thinking about you all. Love Liz
