Obituary of Shirley Hiscock
Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving husband and six sons at the Carbonear General Hospital on Friday, June 23, 2017, Shirley Hiscock of Victoria, age 80 years. Pre-deceased by parents: William and Catherine Penney; infant brother: Billy; infant sister: Patsy. Leaving to mourn her husband of 63 years: Walter Vivian; six sons: William 'Bill', Victoria, Philip (Jill), Victoria, Gilbert (Ruby), Maddox Cove, Derek (Grace), Victoria, Anthony (Mary Lynn), St. John’s, and Byron (Maureen), Grand Falls-Windsor; thirteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; five brothers: Steve (Nora), Mike (Jeanette), Ken (Lynn), Greg (Denise), and Jim (Mary Ellen); six sisters: Betty King, Robyn Moloughney, Sandra (Harold) Noel, Isabelle (Doug) Sheppard, Jennifer Giroux, and Kate (Mel) Clarke; special friend: Dora Bess, Victoria; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Saturday, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Sunday, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Monday, June 26 at 2:30 p.m. from Bethel Pentecostal Church, Victoria. A private family inurnment will be held in Bethel Pentecostal Cemetery, Victoria, at a later date.
