Passed peacefully away after a long courageous battle with cancer while surrounded by her loving family at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, July 22, 2017, Angela McCarthy of Gull Island, age 73 years. Predeceased by parents: Tom Mike and Edna Delaney; sisters: Rose Hogan and Lillian Oake. Leaving to mourn, husband: Daniel; daughter: Sharon, Gull Island; two sons: Chris, Edmonton, AB and Michael (Wendy), Rockland, ON; two grandchildren: Christopher (Chantelle) and Gregory; three great-grandchildren: Ethan, Madison, and Kaylee; brother: Wayne (Michelle) Delaney, Gull Island; three sisters: Anne Oliver, Gull Island, Mary (Jack) Budden, Stephenville, and Helen Morrisette, Quebec; brothers-in-law: Jim Hogan, Ontario and Tom (Bertha) McCarthy, Montreal, Quebec; sisters-in-law: Mary McCarthy, Montreal, Quebec, Elizabeth (John) Trobl, Ontario, and Betty McCarthy, Ochre Pit Cove; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay on Monday, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, July 26 at 11:00 a.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Western Bay. Inurnment to be held on Friday, July 28 at 2:00 p.m. from Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Cemetery, Northern Bay.
