To Frank's Family; Frank and I go back a long way. I was designing schools and other structures and he was building them as an employee of Saunders & Howell. But we were more than associates on a job, we had a bond and friendship that lasted over the years. I particularly remember when he was building the school in Port Rexton and whenever I would visit he would cook a meal saying "I'm not much of a cook but here it is". In reality it was always a good meal, maybe not so much for its content as it was for the spirit of friendship in which it was served. When he knew that I had been awarded the Order of Canada he arranged transportation from Carbonear to Bay Roberts so that he could congratulate me in person. Such is the measure of the man. I always admired and respected him, and I mourn his passing. Eric Jerrett
