Obituary of Dr. James D. Crowley

Dr. James D. Crowley, OB/GYN

Passed peacefully away at the Moncton City Hospital on Monday, February 12, 2018, Dr. James D. Crowley, OB/GYN.  Born February 14, 1941 in Cork, Southern Ireland.  Predeceased by his parents, John and Marian Crowley of Cork, Ireland; his brother Patrick, New South Wales, Australia; and stepson Campbell Howell, Moncton, NB.

Leaving to mourn his loving wife Joyce; stepdaughters, Wanda Howell, Moncton, NB; Lynn (Greg) O'Brien, Halifax, NS and Lisa (Joe) Pinto, Port Coquitlam, BC; and stepdaughter-in-law, June Howell, Moncton, NB. Grandchildren, Alexandria (Andrew), Ottawa, ON; Morgan, Olivia, and Molly, Moncton, NB; Maggie, Erin and Nina (her Ladyship), Halifax, NS; and Tanner and Zachary, Port Coquitlam, BC.   As well as a large number of close relatives and friends in Ireland, Australia and Newfoundland.  Special mention of his cousin Susan Keaton, Dublin, Ireland, with whom he enjoyed many hours on Skype remembering his early life in Ireland and trying to solve the problems of the world.

Upon graduation Jim moved to Canada where he established a long and successful medical practice in obstetrics and gynecology.  He delivered hundreds of babies and helped countless women during his medical career, never forgetting a patient's name, condition, or the babies he brought safely into the world.  Jim loved to travel, read, and watch his Saturday soccer matches with Manchester United, but most of all he loved being with his family and especially with his wife, Joyce, of 38 years.
