Obituary of Val Penney

Passed peacefully away at his residence on Friday, March 9, 2018, Val Penney of Victoria, age 74 years. Predeceased by infant son: Val; parents: Samuel and Angela; brothers: Ed, Leonard, Tom, and Stanley. Leaving to mourn, wife: Margaret; his little buddy Dylan; five brothers: Frank and Pat (Brenda), both of Victoria, Mark (Annie), Carbonear, Bob (Sharon), and Jason (Maggie), both of Victoria; six sisters: Rosalind (Jim), New Brunswick, Georgina, Carbonear, Ellie (Bob), Victoria, Elsie (Wade) and Linda, both of Carbonear, and Ardena, St. John’s; sisters-in-law: Hilda, Victoria and Shirley, Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Sunday, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Monday, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Tuesday, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, March 13 at 2:00 p.m. from the United Church, Victoria. Interment in the United Church Cemetery, Victoria.  In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Val Penney Memorial Fund, c/o Noel’s Funeral Home, 106 Water Street, Carbonear, NL, A1Y 1A9.
