Obituary of Basil E. Martin

Passed peacefully away at the Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear on Saturday, March 31, 2018, Basil E. Martin of Harbour Grace, age 96 years. Predeceased by wife: Mary; sons: Harold and Bob; brother: Thomas (Helen); sister-in-law: Olive Martin. Leaving to mourn, one daughter: Betty (John) Lynch, St. John’s; two sons: Tom (Cheryl), Mississauga, ON and Rev. Don, Harbour Grace; four grandchildren: Sean, Erin, Tiffany (Adam), and Courtney (Ryan); one brother: Alec, Harbour Grace; brother-in-law: Randell (Linda) Drover, Spaniard’s Bay; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace on Monday, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Tuesday, 2:00 to 5:00 to 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, April 4 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Paul's Anglican Church, Hr. Grace. Cremation to follow. A private family inurnment to be held in St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery, Harbour Grace.  In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery Fund, P.O.
