I was so sorry to hear about Naomi’s passing, my heart is aching for Clarrie and the Case family right now. But my heart is also filled with love and fond memories of such a wonderful woman as Naomi Case was.
I’ve know Naomi since I was a child. And she’s been such an important part of my life, more than I could ever express and relay in this message. She taught me private music lessons for years, and never took or asked for anything in return. She was our CGIT leader, our choir teacher, our mentor and friend. She educated myself and many other young girls about life, about being a strong woman, to get an education and become anything we inspired to become.
I’ve spent endless hours, sitting in her beautifully decorated sitting room. Enjoying Earl Grey tea from fine china teacups, listening to classical music, and all her stories. I loved spending time with her, in my eyes was no one more refined, smart and beautiful as Naomi. She would have myself and the other young girls in for beautifully prepared dinners, with the table set with fine linens and we learned proper table etiquette. We’d watch a musical or a movie or a ballet. She made us feel so important, so worthy of her attention.
When I went to University in St. John’s she would have the girls over to her appartment a few times over the semester for dinners. She was always concerned about how our education was going and gave great advice.
When I moved away and would come home in the summer, I’d be sure to drop down to her house in Salmon Cove for a visit, she was so glad to see you.
Every Christmas I’d send her an updated photo of my daughter and always got a phone call from her commenting on how much she’s grown.
I am the woman I am today because of a beautiful lady named Naomi Case, I’m so thankful for her and the impression she’s had on my life.

Sorry to hear of Naomi’s passing. My childhood memories of her starting class with the reading of a bible story to us children, was the foundation for many directions we would take in our adult lives. She was a dedicated educator and gave freely to the wellbeing of her students. She was a teacher who presented the past, Revealed the present, and created the future. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Arthur and Sherry Kelloway.

The Case Family, So sorry to hear of Naomi's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. I have many fond memories of Naomi as my Grade IV teacher and junior choir director at U.C. Riverside School, Salmon Cove. In August 1969, I approached her to inquire if she would be organist at our wedding, which she graciously accepted.
Naomi was very dedicated to her profession, and will be remembered by the students she taught.
Sincerely,
Glenda and Bill Butt.

Clarrie & The Case Family, I am so very sorry for your loss, please accept my deepest sympathy. Naomi was such a lovely person, I always enjoyed our phone chats, she always enquired about my two boys, she would want to know what was going on in their life and what they were learning, that was the educator in her! She was even my Dad's teacher, many, many, years ago! Rest peacefully Naomi, you will be missed by so many.

Clarrie and family.
I was sorry to hear of Naomi's passing. She was a dear friend to my grandmother (Aunt Sally Peach) and a true mentor to the young girls of Salmon Cove. Publicly, people know of her commitment to both the Youth Church Choir and C.G.I.T. in Salmon Cove. But privately people may not know that she truly was a mentor and life coach that had such a positive influence on me and so many of my friends.
It was always a thrill to receive an invitation from Naomi to come to her home in Salmon Cove for a nice meal. She would have her best china out and we would sit like young ladies at a fine restaurant listening to Naomi tell us of her adventures around the world. She was a strong independent women who lived her life to the fullest. She would tell us stories about Boston, the Arts and the importance of education. Even after leaving Salmon Cove to go to M.U.N. we would love to receive our annual invite to Naomi's for a good meal. Again, she would have her best china out with a beautiful meal prepared - which somehow seemed even more delicious being away from home. It was there that we also got to know Clarrie, another strong independent lady. We truly loved the stories and adventures of two amazing women and their journey's.
Naomi was always a lady of great style, class and depth. My grandmother once told me that as children she would always be waiting on Naomi to finish setting her curls:-). There are people in heaven who are done waiting for you Naomi. Rest well.
Love, Jenny

Clarrie, Elwood, & family:
Saddened to hear of Naomi's passing, but also know that it was time. In her own words from our last visit, she was, indeed, "weary." Thank you to you both for the wonderful care you have given her over the past months of her illness. While I cannot be with you at this time, know that you are in thought and prayer as you celebrate Naomi's life.
Blessings to you all.
