Obituary of Mary Norris

Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, Mary Norris of Victoria, age 87 years. Predeceased by husband: Ambrose; parents: John and Susannah Emberley; brothers: Joseph 'Joe' and William Emberley; sisters: Ida (John) Priddle, Elsie Edwards, and Florence Russell. Leaving to mourn, two daughters: Brenda (Pat) Penney and Susan Norris, both of Victoria; three grandchildren: Melanie (Keith), Cindy (Brian), and Ambrose; four great-grandchildren: Tyler, Faith, Lauren and Arianna; one brother: George (Ruby) Emberley, Cavendish; two sisters: Leona North, Victoria and Tilly (Bert) Mouland, Ragged Harbour; brothers-in-law: Ralph Edwards Sr., Les Clarke, and Snowden (Barbara) Norris; sisters-in-law: Carol Emberley, Ruth Sutton, and Alma Critch; also a large number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Thursday, 2:30 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Saturday, 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, May 12 at 1:00 p.m. from the Salvation Army Citadel, Carbonear. Interment in St. Barnabas Anglican Cemetery, Bay de Verde.
