VOKEY, Minnie C.- Passed peacefully away at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Tuesday, January 1, 2008, Minnie C. Vokey of Bristol's Hope, age 89 years. Predeceased by husband: Donald; sisters: Greta, Josie and Trixie; brother: Clayton. Leaving to mourn: one daughter: Carol (Freeman) Yetman, Yarmouth, NS; two sons: Clayton (Elaine), Bristol's Hope and Ches (Carol), Bowmanville, ON; eight grandchildren: Renee Arsenault, Danielle (Alan) Doucette, Monique (Jason) Price, Michelle (Stephen) French, Andrea (Brian) Skanes, Jonathan Vokey, Jennifer (Steven) Penney and Matthew Vokey; grandson-in-law: David Arsenault; six great-grandchildren: Megan, Brandon, Hanna, Miles, Ethan and Rachel; sister-in-law: Mabel (Joe) Peddle, Spaniard's Bay; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial service to be held on Saturday, January 5 at 2:30 p.m. from the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Shearstown. Visitation to take place at the Vokey Family Home, Bristol's Hope following the Memorial Service.
