Obituary of Vic King

Passed peacefully but suddenly away at his residence on Sunday, June 3, 2018, Vic King of Carbonear, age 60 years. Predeceased by parents: George and Margaret; brothers: Freeman, George, Ralph, and Melvin; sisters: Marjorie and Cynthia (Al); sisters-in-law: Shirley Dunne and Rose Pitts; parents-in-law: William and Ada Pynn. Leaving to mourn, wife: Ruby; two daughters: Vicki Laing (Shannon), Bristol’s Hope, and Jennifer, Carbonear; very special grandson: Gavin; three sisters: Matilda (Albert, deceased) Crann, Gladys (Guy) Thoms, and Gloria Badcock; sisters-in-law: Ursula King, Barbara King, Patsy King, Rosalind (Jim, deceased) Pynn, Beatrice (Gordon) Bears, Lucy (Howard, deceased) Jewer, Lillian Osmond, Anne (Ches) Peddle, Ada (Dave) Peddle, and Sandra (Allan) Hatcher; also a large number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Tuesday, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Thursday, June 7 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Carbonear. Inurnment in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Vic King Memorial Fund, c/o Noel’s Funeral Home, 106 Water Street, Carbonear, A1Y 1A9.
