Obituary of Ron Delaney Sr.

Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family at the Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, June 14, 2018, Ron Delaney Sr. of Riverhead, Harbour Grace, age 79 years. Predeceased by parents: Sebastian and Beatrice; niece: Roxanne Smith; great-niece: Felicity Hurdle; parents-in-law: Art and Stella Hurdle. Leaving to mourn, wife: Shirley; one daughter: Tanya (Sheldon) Johnson, Bay Roberts; four sons: Kenneth, Riverhead, Harbour Grace, Ronald (Lisa), Bay Roberts, Barry (Denise), Marystown, and Gerard (Krista), Riverhead, Harbour Grace; seven grandchildren: Ashley, Jake, Daniel, Maggie, Emma-Jane, Kaegan, and Isabella; also a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace on Thursday, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Saturday, 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass to take place on Saturday, June 16 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Riverhead, Harbour Grace. Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Harbour Grace.  In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 1037 Topsail Road, Mount Pearl, NL, A1N 5E9.
