Passed suddenly but peacefully away in his motor home while camping in Come by Chance with close friends on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, Clyde Pryor of Victoria, age 85 years. A Korea War Veteran. Predeceased by wife: Patricia Lorraine; great-grandson: Greggory William Jr.; parents: Archibald and Emily; infant sister: Annie; brother: Billy. Leaving to mourn, one daughter: Debra Virtanen, Victoria; special friend: Jean Chafe, Conception Bay South; grandson: Greggory (Kara) McNicoll, Michell, ON, granddaughter: Patricia (Adam) Ruth, Peterborough, ON; great-grandchildren: Colton, Avery, Briana, Olivia, Amelia, and Griffin; three sisters: Leah (Maldwyn) Crummey, Dorothy (Charles) Troop, and Winnie Parsons, all of Victoria; two brothers: Roland (Marion), Nova Scotia and George (Donna), Victoria; sister-in-law: Shirley, Bay de Verde; also a large number of other relatives and friends. At the family’s request, cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held at the family’s residence, 7 Deering Road, Victoria on Sunday, June 24 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Private inurnment will take place at St. Barnabas Anglican Cemetery, Bay de Verde. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Janeway Children’s Hospital, 300 Prince Philip Drive, St. John’s, NL, A1B 3V6.
