Obituary of Martin Power
Passed away at the Dr. A. A. Wilkinson Memorial Hospital, Old Perlican on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, Martin Power of Caplin Cove, age 81 years. Predeceased by parents: Martin and Mary; brothers: Raymond and Gerald; sister: Eileen Hatch. Leaving to mourn, wife of 61 years: Mary; four daughters: Carol Power, Corinna (Garfield) Coish, Judy (Cyril) March, and Patsy (Aaron) Button; two sons: Raymond and Marty (Vanessa); one special daughter of the heart: Sheila Brushette; eleven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers: William (Theresa) and Luke; one sister: Linda (Lawrence) Sparkes; brother-in-law: Aloysius Hatch; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Western Bay on Wednesday, 7:30 to 9:00 p.m.; Thursday, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Friday, 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Friday at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Western Bay. Cremation to follow. Inurnment to take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Martin Power Memorial Fund, c/o Noel’s Funeral Home, 106 Water Street, Carbonear, NL, A1Y 1A9.
