Passed peacefully away at Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, Loretta May Power of Carbonear, age 79 years. Predeceased by husband: Ernest; parents: Effie and Hayward Rideout; brothers and sisters: Ralph, Lewis, Calvin, Charlotte, and Rose. Leaving to mourn, two daughters: Florence (John) Forward and Shirley (Guy) Forward, both of Carbonear; four grandchildren: Hedley (Melanie), Christina (Paul), Jennifer (Justin), and Jonathon (Kara); six great-grandchildren: Emily, Bronson, Max, Nolan, Henry, and Ella; sisters and brothers: Phyllis Burden, Carbonear and Marilyn, Flossie, Audrey, Josie, Lucy, Tim, Fred, and Jim; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Wednesday, 7:30 to 9:00 p.m.; Thursday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Friday, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Friday, August 17 at 2:00 p.m. from Bethany United Church, Carbonear. Interment in Bethany United Cemetery, Carbonear. As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
