Aunt Annie, Shawn, Darren, & Annie, Wish we could be there with you all at this difficult time, thinking of you all , coming home will never be the same, uncle bill always stopped by for a visit. Hearing an " uncle bill" story was always a favorite memory. Starting with a fish 6 inches long and it ending with the fish being 6 foot, his stories were heard by many and loved by everyone. Darren, take good care of aunt Annie your dad would want you to make sure your mom was looked after. I could go on forever with stories and memories. It's something I will treasure forever. I'm really glad he got to meet all my grandchildren. Your brother bob will miss you lots. See you in heaven. Love, Joy (baker) Stone & Family.

Annie: Bill was a very sharp, very witty, no nonsense man. I remember buying a Christmas tree from Bill year after year, after year. And, every tree was the best one he had. My condolences to you Annie. Death is nothing at all. It does not count. I have only slipped away into the next room. Everything remains as it was. The old life that we lived so fondly together is untouched, unchanged. Whatever we were to each other, that we are still. Call me by the old familiar name. Speak of me in the easy way which you always used. Put no sorrow in your tone. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me, pray for me. Let my name be ever the household word that it always was. Let it be spoken without effort Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was. There is unbroken continuity. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner. All is well. Nothing is hurt; nothing is lost. One brief moment and all will be as it was before. How we shall laugh at the trouble of parting, when we meet again. Source: derived from a sermon written by Henry Scott Holland and delivered in St. Paul's (London) on 15 May 1910, at which time the body of King Edward VII was lying in state at Westminster. Although not originally derived from Irish writings, versions of this sermon have been used at many Irish and Catholic funerals over the years.

Annie & Family, so sorry to hear of Bills's passing. So glad we got to spend time with you, Bill and Darren last week. Bill was a very gentle and kind man, who touched the hearts of everyone he met. Sorry we can't be with you at this difficult time, but as you know we are flying to Nova Scotia to be with Damon for Christmas. May the memories that you and Bill and you family have made over the years comfort you in the days and weeks ahead. God Bless you and we will come to visit when we are out that way again.
