Passed peacefully away at Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear on Thursday, September 20, 2018, Arthur 'Art' Penney of Salmon Cove, age 72 years. Predeceased by parents: Henry and Maude; brother: Robert; parents-in-law: Leo and Mary Griffin; brother-in-law: Wayne Sutton; nephew: Farron Sutton; niece: Holly Sutton. Leaving to mourn, wife: Margaret; one daughter: Amanda (Stephen) Button, Old Perlican; one sister: Rosalie (Wallace) Dean, Victoria; brothers and sisters-in-law: Leo (Brenda) Griffin, Labrador City, Marie Sutton (Wayne Forward), Victoria, Lole (Shirley) Griffin, Hubbards, NS, Debbie (Clyde) Sutton, Victoria, Paul (Muriel) Griffin, Tilton, Don (Marion) Griffin, and Ken (Karen) Griffin, both of Carbonear; special friend: Edward Peckham, Salmon Cove; also a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A private family service will be held at Noel’s Memorial Chapel, Carbonear. As an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
