Dad was a friend to everyone and everyone's friend. He respected everyone, and was always ready to help neighbours. He was trusting of all. He raised a good family, and after 30 years, adopted another. In between, he helped 4 foster children, and subsidized 6 seminary students, volunteered as a Cub and Scout leader and participated in various social clubs. His love extended to his parents, who he cared for over years. He was always concerned about providing for his family, teaching them to be self-sufficient. He had an unshakable faith in God, and considered St. Therese his Patron Saint. He always carried a Rosary.
A Builder of harmony, community, family. A lifelong (and founding) member of the Knights of Columbus in Stephenville for more than 65 years. He wanted people to get along. He was the embodiment of the Lords principal of turn the other cheek. Always ready to lend a hand, or be a friend, Dad was a true friend and Father.
Inurnment to be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Cemetery, Northern Bay.
