Minnie always had a big heart and was constantly adopting neighbourhood strays, giving them a home and making sure they were fed. I’ve always judged a person’s character by the way in which they treat their animals, & Minnie always treated hers like family. I was proud to have gifted her with her beloved beagle “Snoop,” who was her constant companion for more than a decade and a half of her later years. I honestly don’t know of another dog that was more loved & cherished.
However, Minnie didn’t limit her affections to her four legged friends. She was always quick with a smile or a kind word & was fiercely loyal to family and those she considered friends. What I’ll remember best, though, is her simple acts of kindness, like bringing my mother a pail of handpicked blueberries when she was ill. That simple kindness had the power to transform & restore your faith in humanity.
Minnie may never have had the easiest of lives, but the fact that she continued to put others before herself, to the very end, speaks volumes as to her character and true self. I’m glad I had the opportunity to have known her and will remember her fondly. To Tony, Will & the rest of the Wilcox family, you have my deepest condolences.

To Minnie’s Family;
A smile we will never forget; Minnie was so humble and appreciative of everything done for her. We were privileged to have had Minnie as a member of our family at Carbonear; we also enjoyed meeting her family who visited during her stay with us. Condolences to you all.
