Passed peacefully away at the Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear on Friday, December 7, 2018, Joan Gilbert of Victoria, age 78 years. Predeceased by husband: Cal; parents: Harry and Agnes Hunt; brother: Harry Hunt; brother-in-law: Gerald Cain; niece: Debbie London; great-niece: Katie Youngberg. Leaving to mourn, daughter: Krista Gilbert, Upper Island Cove; son: Cally (Tina), St. Albert, AB; two step-grandchildren: Whitney and Lexi; one brother: Bernie (Sharon) Hunt, Torbay; three sisters: Eileen (Randy) Crocker, Paradise, Betty Cain, Riverhead, Hr. Grace, and Madonna (John) Kavanagh, CBS; sister-in-law: Alice Hunt, Riverhead, Hr. Grace; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace on Sunday, 2:30 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Monday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place on Tuesday, December 11 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Riverhead, Harbour Grace.
