Obituary of Ted Layman
Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Monday, December 10, 2018, Ted Layman of Gull Island, age 73 years. Predeceased by parents: Mike Joe & Angela; brothers: Paul and Pat (June); father-in-law: William Fahey; brother-in-law: Edward Fahey Jr. Leaving to mourn, wife: Claire; two daughters: Teri (Darren) and Mandy, both of St. John’s; son: Chris (Bonnie), Paradise; four brothers: Peter (Betty), Ochre Pit Cove, Mike (Yvonne), St. John’s, Joe (Marie), Gull Island, and Ron (Ellen), Brantford, ON; one sister: Mary (Jim) Babstock, Scarborough, ON; seven grandchildren: Angela, Hannah, Claire, Dalton, Christopher, Keeley, and Ciara; great-grandson: Parker; mother-in-law: Mary Fahey, Northern Bay; brothers-in-law: Val (Gennie), Mike (Karen), Willie, Paddy (Amanda) and Pete (Tina); sisters-in-law: Annie Halfyard (Tom Mike), Mary Oliver (Jim), Bridget (Ricky) Doyle, Rose Traverse (Ben), Doreen Fahey (Wade), Maureen Fahey, Geraldine Fahey (David), Caroline (Gary) Oliver, Winnie Fahey (Duncan), and Alice (Warren) Noonan; special friends: Elese & Randy Bartlett and Pauline & Peter Doyle; also a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Western Bay on Thursday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Friday, 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Friday, December 14 at 11:00 a.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Western Bay. Interment in Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Cemetery, Northern Bay. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church, PO Box 79, Northern Bay, NL, A0A 3B0.
