Obituary of Herman Harris

Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Friday, December 28, 2018, Herman Harris of Harbour Grace, age 83 years. Predeceased by parents: Alexander and Susie; brother: James; sister: Cathy. Leaving to mourn, his loving wife of 61 years, Marina; three sons: Gordon (Kim), Alberta, Herman Jr. (Rosalind), Aquaforte, and Alex (Heather), Harbour Grace; three daughters: Christine (Richard), Frenchman’s Cove, Elva (Jens), and Nena (Michael), both of St. John’s; nine grandchildren: Courtney (Fadi), Cody, Brady, Dawson, Shayna, James, Katarina, Jared, and Julia; brother: Tom (Louise), Carbonear; three sisters: Isabelle Murphy and Rita Cobb, both of Ontario, and Debbie Bursey, Harbour Grace; sister-in-law: Yvonne Sheppard, Bristol’s Hope; members of the Oates family; and a large circle of extended family and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace on Saturday, 7:30 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Monday, December 31 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Paul's Anglican Church, Harbour Grace. Inurnment to be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
