Passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family at the Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, January 8, 2019, Stanley C. Pye of Harbour Grace, age 82 years. Predeceased by parents: Reuben and Florence; sister: Shirley Reid; parents-in-law: Douglas and Penniah Jackson; sisters-in-law: Audrey McDougall and Callie (Edgar) Clarke. Leaving to mourn, wife: Elva; daughter: Karen (Shawn) Barrett, Harbour Grace; son: Kevin (Alice), Harbour Grace; three grandchildren: Jonathan, Alexis, and Andrew; three brothers: Dougal (Dorothy), Corner Brook, Chesley (Edith), Bristol’s Hope, and Donald (Maxine), Carbonear; sister: Linda (Aubrey), Bryant’s Cove; sisters-in-law: Vera (Hector) Sooley, Heart’s Delight and Janet (Jack) Pauls, Font Hill, ON; also a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace on Wednesday, 7:30 to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Friday, January 11 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Paul's Anglican Church, Harbour Grace.
