Obituary of Dorothy Gillingham

Passed peacefully away at Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear on Thursday, February 14, 2019, Dorothy O. Gillingham of Ochre Pit Cove, age 92 years. Predeceased by husband: Nelson; infant daughter; parents: Solomon and Priscilla Croucher; sisters: Avis and Verna; brothers: John and Ford. Leaving to mourn, daughter: Beverley (Rusty) Noseworthy, South River; two grandchildren: Steven (Jill) and Stephanie; three brothers: Truman (Florence) Billings, Grand Falls-Windsor, Ben (Jessie) Billings, Cottrell’s Cove, and Victor (Ivy) Billings, Comfort Cove; three sisters: Cloie Warren and Vera Kean, both of Brampton, ON, and Ethel (Alonzo) Hynes, Fortune Harbour; special nephews: George (Tammy) Loveys and Dave (Alice) Loveys, both of Ochre Pit Cove; also a large number of other relatives and friends. At Dorothy’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private inurnment to be held at the United Cemetery, Ochre Pit Cove. As an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the NL Lung Association, 15 Pippy Place, St. John’s, NL, A1B 3X2.
