Passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving family at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, March 2, 2019, Sophie Earle of Carbonear, age 65 years. Predeceased by parents: Samuel and Beatrice; sister: Gladys; brother: Archibald; niece: Michelle; nephew: Paul; father-in-law: James Earle; brothers-in-law: Gerald and Jimmy. Leaving to mourn, husband: George; one daughter: Sherrie Ann (Scott) Cooper, Carbonear; three grandchildren: Matthew, Ben and Vanessa (Dustin); one great-grandson: Cooper; one brother: William (Christine), Salmon Cove; one sister: Mary Swain, Salmon Cove; sisters-in-law: Babs Slade and Patsy (Terry), both of Salmon Cove; brothers-in-law: Arthur Parsons (Sharon Dean) and Jerry (Minnie) Earle, both of Carbonear; mother-in-law: Veronica Earle, Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Monday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Tuesday, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, March 5 at 2:00 p.m. from Riverside United Church, Salmon Cove. Cremation to follow. Inurnment to be held at a later date.
