Obituary of William 'Bill' Gosse

Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Monday, March 4, 2019, William ‘Bill’ Gosse of Carbonear; formerly of Bell Island, age 86 years. Predeceased by infant daughter: Deborah; parents: Walter and Sarah; sisters: Rose Derle and Alfreda (Ron) Bishop; sister-in-law: Theresa Gosse; brother-in:law: Stan Thorne. Leaving to mourn, wife: Hazel; four brothers: Walter (Emmeline), Eugene, both of Cambridge, ON, Lloyd (Ruth), Bay Robert’s and Jim (Karen), Mt. Pearl; two sisters: Shirley Thorne, Ayr, ON and Evelyn (Ray) Drover, Upper Island Cove; brother-in-law: Wolfe Derle, Cambridge, ON homecare worker: Rebecca Neil; also a number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear, on Tuesday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Wednesday: 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, March 6 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Carbonear. Cremation to follow. Inurnment to be held at a later date on Bell Island.  In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
