Obituary of Harold Burke
Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Sunday, March 3, 2019, Harold Burke of Victoria, age 89 years. Predeceased by wife: Jean; daughter: Goldie; son-in-law: Michael; parents: James and Louise; brothers: Harry (Bernice), Albert (Elizabeth), Arthur, George, and Daniel; sisters: Elizabeth (Joe), Irene (Arthur), Louise (Ron), and Maude (Charles). Leaving to mourn, two daughters: Brenda Merrigan, Victoria and Beverley (Elywin) Burke, Clarenville; one son: Tony (Karen), Cold Brook; eight grandchildren: Michael (Jullie), Jason (Laura), Samantha (Michael), Tony, Tiffany, Charles (Carly), Jordan (Natasha), and Jessica; four great-grandchildren: Jason 'JJ', Dale, Oliver, and Rory; members of Jean's family, the Parsons family; and a circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Thursday, 7:30 to 9:00 p.m., Friday, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Saturday, 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, March 9 at 2:00 p.m. from St. James Anglican Church, Carbonear. Interment in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear. As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to the Trinity Conception Shrine Club, 3A Masonic Avenue, Carbonear, NL, A1Y 1A9.
