Passed peacefully away surrounded by loved ones at the Carbonear General Hospital on Sunday, March 10, 2019, Robert 'Bob' Baker of Carbonear, age 82 years. Predeceased by wife: Alice; infant son; parents: John and Flora Baker; brothers: William, Leo (Isabelle), and Richard; sisters: Florence (John) Parsons and Evelyn (Weldon) Crocker; brothers-in-law: Gord Deering, Billy Neil, and Ralph Krone. Leaving to mourn, best friend: Jocelyn; five daughters: Doris (Don) Kryzuma, ON, Joy (Gordon) Stone, AB, Mona (Larry) Baker Mehrer, Wyoming, USA; Goldie (Ron) Flight, Victoria, and Robin Baker (Michael Oliver), Carbonear; Jocelyn's daughters: Tracy and Sheena Clarke; grandchildren: Devon, Bobbi-Jean, Gordie, Aliceson, Alice, Alissa, Sabastian, Logan, Chloe, Brooklyn, and Brady; five great-grandchildren; son-in-law: Darren Saunderson; one brother: Jim (Marion); five sisters: Mary (Ray) Pynn, Linda (Everett) Dean, Margaret Neil, Flora (Wilson) Snow, and Julie (Bruce) Dean; sisters-in-law: Elaine Baker, Annie Baker, and Iris Baker; special friend: Hayward Butt; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Tuesday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Wednesday: 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Thursday, March 14 at 10:30 a.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Carbonear. Interment in Bethel Pentecostal Cemetery, Victoria, NL.
