Obituary of John Gillingham

Passed peacefully away at Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear on Sunday, March 17, 2019, John Gillingham of Carbonear, age 76 years. Predeceased by grandson: Nicholas; parents: John and Jennie; brother: Eric; special nephew: Darrell; parents-in-law; Hayward and Alma Fraize. Leaving to mourn, wife: Glenys; daughter: Dana (Peter) Sellars, Carbonear; son: Bob (Irene), Carbonear; three granddaughters, "pop's treasures": Alicia, Amy, and Rebecca; sister: Joan Sellars; brother-in-law: Hal (Christine) Fraize and sisters-in-law: Gloria Gillingham and Patsy Rodgers, all of Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Wednesday, 7:30 to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Friday, March 22 at 2:00 p.m. from Bethany United Church, Carbonear. Inurnment to be held at a later date.
