Obituary of William 'Bill' McCarthy

Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, April 4, 2019, William 'Bill' McCarthy of Harbour Grace South, age 86 years. Predeceased by parents: Felix and Mary; brothers: Patrick and Gerald; sister: Pauline Dempsey; sister-in-law: Mary McCarthy; brother-in-law: Tom Galway. Leaving to mourn, two brothers: Tom (Marg), Hr. Grace South and Mike, Hr. Grace; one sister: Mary (Henry) Whalen, Riverhead, Hr. Grace; special nieces and nephew: Michelle (Dave) Stephens, Sharon Young, and Paul (Mona); great-nephews: David (Jessica), Bradley (Brittany), and Mitchell (Emma); special "little one": Samantha; special cousin: Betty (Rev) Harney; good friend: Mose Hunt; also a large number of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace on Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral Mass to take place on Saturday, April 6 at 1:00 p.m. from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Riverhead, Hr. Grace. Cremation to follow. Inurnment to take place on Monday, April 8 at 2:00 p.m. in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Harbour Grace.
