Obituary of Capt. Siegfried Hosel

Passed away at Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear on Saturday, May 18, 2019, Capt. Siegfried Hosel of Harbour Grace, age 84 years. Predeceased by loving wife: Sonja; parents: Gertrud and Paul; sisters: Erica Erkenberg and Charlotte Ferdertzki. Leaving to mourn, son: Jens (Elva), St. John’s; two grandchildren: Katarina and Jared; two sisters: Brunhilde Czaika and Margita Kaiser, both of Falkenau, Germany; sisters-in-law: Lorraine (Roy) Janes and Gertrude Reiss, both of Carbonear; also a large number of family and friends in Germany and Newfoundland. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive relatives and friends at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace on Tuesday, 2:30 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on  Wednesday, May 22 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Funeral Home, Harbour Grace. As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
