Obituary of Maude Powell

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Maude Powell at the Carbonear General Hospital Palliative Care Unit on Friday, May 31, 2019. She was predeceased by husband: G. Calvin Powell; parents: Bartholomew and Emma Neil; as well as two brothers; three sisters; a number of brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. She departed this life surrounded by her loving family, trusting in God and knowing that she was loved beyond measure.

She is survived by her devoted son: Calvin (Doris) Powell; granddaughter: Rebecca (Phillip Hickey); grandson: Michael (Flavie Pilotte-Menard) and cherished great-granddaughter: Claire Eleanor Pilotte-Powell; daughter: Donna Powell; grandson: Neil Bernard; sister-in-law: Corinne Woodman. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Saturday, June 1, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Sunday, June 2, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from Bethany United Church, Carbonear.
